Kiara of Imoa – Poetic mechanic with a knack for gears, stars & poetry

A gentle breeze from the forest carries the scent of fresh oil and blooming lilacs…
In the quiet, hill-cradled town of Imoa, where copper rooftops catch the morning sun and gears turn with a cheerful clink, lives a girl named Kiara – though everyone just calls her Kiki.
Kiki is the kind of person who can fix a broken timepiece and mend a broken heart in the same afternoon. Born to Imoa’s revered mechanic-mother and priest-father, she’s grown up in a household filled with warmth, wisdom, and the rhythmic hum of machines and chants. Her family is well-loved in the town, and so is she – perhaps a little too loved, as she rarely hears a “no” and has yet to truly fall flat on her face. But that’s about to change.
Because Kiki is about to leave.
Not out of rebellion, not to escape, but because it is time. Every young adult of Imoa must set out for at least a year of travel – to learn, to grow, and to understand the world beyond the comforting tick-tock of the town’s familiar clocktower.
Kiki has packed her bags (a little over-ambitiously), bringing along her beloved repair kit, a sturdy travel kit, and of course, her well-worn notebook, ink, and pen – where she jots down everything from gear designs to soft verses about starlight and dew. She’s a rare soul: part inventor, part poet, with the quiet confidence of someone who believes she can fix anything – even if she hasn’t figured it out yet.
She’s learned a few magical spells, too, just in case. From Cure Touch to Wake Up and Stand Up, she sees them as another kind of mechanism – mystical tools to make life smoother, kinder. Her favorite ritual, A Little Beauty, she performs with a smile, because “a well-oiled spring and a fresh flower both deserve admiration.”
Kiki is open-hearted, a little naive, and sometimes jumps in with both feet before checking how deep the water is. But that’s part of her charm – and part of her challenge.
